This was the only store where I could rent "The Erotic Adventures of Pinocchio". Absolute truth. I will miss it.

I've been going to Videoscope since I got my first VCR and when they were on Alma in Palo Alto. What a ride, and I've enjoyed every bit of it. I wish all involved the best of luck in their new ventures. One for the history books!

I miss the days of going to the video store. This was before B-Buster was around. Dealing w/ local shop owners who have a stake in the business, not just a checkout clerk. It was always nice to get the latest hot release and then stop to get some Chinese take out with my girlfriend(now wife)on the way home...Nostalgia now in the days of Netflix

The first time I ever rented a VCR movie was in 1981, in a now defunct video store in Sunnyvale. There were not many movies out on VCR tape back then, but rent movies from them I did. However after 5 years I stopped and never went back to that rental shop. That location is now where Armadillo Willy's is at 161 E. El Camino Real at Cezanne Dr. A Payless Shoe Source is located in the low rise building as well. My memory is hazy about it but I think that video rental shop closed up around 1993 or so.
It is weird but many times I drive by this area, I think of my many conversations with the business owner of the VCR tape rental shop. Such nostalgia of a time gone by.
