Please Please Please test the soil for TCE and the projected movement of the TCE plume before granting any permits to build, and do not allow any development if there are signs or expected future signs of TCE vapors due to the plume's movements.
We've been down this road before in this area, now we have a chance to make sure we don't have to go through it again.

Major cleanup may be needed.

I agree with John McAlister. It is good to see "ownership" housing being built in the city. Mountain View is fast becoming a city of transient renters.

I am very concerned about the traffic in the neighborhood. As more and more people work and move into this general area, our neighborhood streets are being used as pass-throughs. The streets in this neighborhood are not large enough for the traffic now using them (partially due to all the vehicles parking on both sides of the streets because there isn't enough parking for the current residents). This will only get worse. Much of the housing here is rental housing. This neighborhood needs speed bumps installed to slow traffic down and to discourage misuse on streets such as Gladys and Tyrella. There definitely needs to be special attention paid to the area of Easy Street between Central Expressway and the on-ramp to 85. Drivers come off an expressway with a 45mph speed-limit onto a street with a 25mph speed-limit, yet treat the street like a long on-ramp to a freeway with a 65mph speed-limit. With the new homes coming in and new businesses going in further down Middlefield, this is the perfect time to address our traffic mitigation needs.

Great Auntie, I too am concerned about the traffic on Gladys, Tyrella,
and Ada. Our little neighborhood streets have become extended on ramps
for high-performance sports cars trying to get onto HWY 85.

I live on Ada near the corner of Gladys and am tired of commuter busses
coming down Ada with only a "yield" sign at Ada & Gladys. Speed
bumps are definitely needed on Ada and a stop sign.
