"Thank heavens most criminals aren't very smart. Otherwise we'd be in real trouble."

or as they say, when committing a robbery:
use a gun - go to jail,
use a pen - get out of jail free.

Glad the witness got accurate car description info and got it to the police in a timely way.

Time for the adults of this world to step up and DO THE RIGHT THING vav crime. We can no longer afford the "don't want to get involved" and "blind eye" approach to what goes on around us.

Those approaches make the silent witness an accomplish to the crime. It's disgusting.

So please let's promise one another we will be pro active to protect each other when needed.
