"Could Sandy Hook happen here?" is the headline for tonight's civility roundtable, an event organized by the Human Relations Commission that aims to engage opposing views in a civil dialogue about school shootings and gun laws.

I am concerned one of my quotes could be misconstrued. The right way to interpret "We want to try and make it impossible to happen and do whatever it takes" is: "There is a widespread urge to 'do whatever it takes' to make such incidents impossible in the future, but that's probably not an attainable goal".
