Special guest Latin jazz trumpeter Ray Vega joins the Stanford Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble, directed by Murray Low, on Saturday, May 25, at 8 p.m. Vega was the lead trumpet player for Latin giants Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria, and Mario Bauza, and a jazz trumpeter with the Duke Ellington and Vanguard Jazz orchestras, as well as classical composer Osvaldo Golijov.
