I was just getting ready to cross under the Rengstorf overpass this morning at around 10:45. I was in the center lane and something caught my attention, looked up and saw the body fall the last 10-20 feet and land around 10 feet from my car. Thank God my granddaughter's were watching a video and did not see this. Simply horrifying and the fact that traffic was moving very slow just made the incident play out in slow motion. I will never forget that site.

If the person identified is Ram Saripalli, 41, then it is indeed a very tragic event for me. Ram has been my friend since 20 years, we being colleagues and roommates in our first job, here in India. Please share more details about the incident and his family out there. he has a son and daughter. His parents live in Hyderabad, India.
Please share any information, photos or updates. Thanks..

This was horrific indeed. I felt so bad for the first guy who ran over the man who jumped and the second driver who also hit him. They both looked so upset. That has the be the worst feeling in the world, I don't think I would ever be able to drive on 101 again.

Anand, I am sorry for your loss. If it helps at all, from what I saw he died instantly and was most surely unconscious before the first car even passed over him. He would not have felt any pain.
