Original post made by csma, another community, on May 6, 2013

Shoreline Amphitheatre at Mountain View, Mountain View Educational Foundation, Los Altos-Mountain PTA Council, and CSMA will present the 12th Annual Mountain View Whisman School District Choral Fest at Shoreline Amphitheatre, One Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View this coming Monday, May 6. This year’s event ~ Global Beats & Rhythm ~ presents children from the district’s nine elementary and middle school choruses and offers the community an opportunity to come together to share in the joy of music.

Under the direction of CSMA's Music4Schools faculty at the elementary level and the district's middle school music teachers, each school's chorus will sing one song. The show will open and close with all of the choruses, approximately 500 children, performing together on stage, as well as Tacuma King, an African music ensemble which includes djembe, violin, and steel pans.

FREE and open to the public! Gates & concessions open at 5:00 pm; performance on the main stage begins promptly at 6:30 pm. Join us early, rain or shine, for a picnic dinner and enjoy pre-show entertainment by the Graham Middle School Jazz Band and the Castro Elementary School Mexican Folk Dancers.

Clarification to paragaph 2 above: The group Tacuma King will open the show and accompany the first combined number.
