Another way would be to go after companies that hire illegal aliens. Why is it that they cannot make their country better? Did the Government ask them to hand over their weapons, or were they taken by the Government, the same thing that is going on here.

With all the unemployment here, i'm really wondering if life is better for them here. What do they do here, if they can't even find a job, who takes care of them? Or is it just a way to make money from stealing and moving items across the border?

The only fair and just policy would be to adopt the same laws that Mexico uses when immigrants from Central America crosses Mexico's southern border without authorization or proper documentation. The Central Americans are only looking for a better life.

Fair and Just gets it. In Mexico, this march would be totally illegal and it would end very badly. I'd like to take my paltry Social Security money and find a nice quiet CHEAP place in Mexico, I love Mexico and the Mexican people, but their immigration laws are the toughest in North America. No immigration reform without parity!

Actually, the Obama administration has not been deporting parents any more or less than the Bush administration did. U.S. policy is, and was, if you are deported, go and take your children with you. Or leave them. Your choice.

Oh come on! I'm not at all sorry for deporting these parents of kids born here! Leave them here until you can enter our country LEGALLY. All people that come here from other countries have to do the SAME paperwork to legally arrive here! Why not try a lot harder to improve your country...instead of complaining about it?

I feel their pain. As someone who has spent his life making unauthorized withdrawals from banks, I had heard more than my share of snide comments. People have called me "bank robber" and even just plain "criminal".

Now, these people are going after my children. I gave my children the money I made from my umm, withdrawals. It is their money, but Obama and his thugs are trying to take that away from my children. That is so unfair.

As someone whose father and wife immigrated to America I actually believe that we need stricter and more regulated immigration rules. My family has done it legally and I am proud of that. Those that would cut in line or cross illegally, will you be able to proudly tell your children of how you scammed your new country?

I agree with many of the above comments. I think America's immigration law should be reciprocal: if Americans can realalisticly become citizens of Country X, then Country X's citizens can apply to become citizens here.

I know an illegal immigrant here with two kids born here. She's great person and hard worker making over $20 dollars tax free as a nanny. She's been doing this for years and is always employed 40-60 hours a week. What's always amazed me is the amount of state assistance she gets and how much trouble her kids find themselves in at school. The amount of public resources she and her kids consume is mind boggling. She would love to be legal, of course, but only to bring up the rest of her family from Mexico, all of which are very poor. I always tell her she's crazy to want to be a citizen because right now she gets everything for free and pays no taxes.

As someone who is here legally, had to wait several years for my visa to get a green card and to get citizenship I need a lawyer, pass an exam and pay big bucks I am furious to think that illegal residents will get full citizenship ahead of people like me.

If you must make them legal, at least give them no passport rights, no voting rights, no jury rights - just like green card holders. Make sure they pay all their taxes just like us too.

inhuman and unfair? wow, they are making money under the table, pay no taxes, get welfare on everything, they use our emergency for medical needs and pay zilch, get food stamps, free education, welfare money breeding more children, buying 24 cans of beer everyday with the money made under the table,have a spouse and children in the US and have a spouse and children in Mexico or other central american country...wow this is really making me cry. somebody please hand them over more money, please...

I get very resentful when illegal immigrants feel that because they are already here they deserve to stay here! My husband is a legal immigrant. He came here on a work visa. He had to go through all the
procedures to remain here legally. After 20 years here, he just became a citizen, and I am proud of him. If you want to immigrate here, I have no problem with that, but please follow the legal procedures. Granted, they are not easy, you have to put effort into it and the process actually takes time. Illegal immigrants please stop coming here thinking that the US owes this to you. Why does our country continue to pay out and provide things for illegal immigrants? Talk about unfair!

This is not really about immigration. It is about colonization. These people do not learn English. They do not assimilate. They do not, and cannot, participate in our system of self government. Many of them have learned to speak English to capture the practical benefits, but they continue to speak Spanish at work and in public places, choosing to remain separate. This is not about immigration. It is about invasion.

I am personally familiar with these people. If I was one of them, I would not want to assimilate, either. They, unlike us, have retained a real culture. These people are good people in a way that we are not. They have much to offer the United States as true immigrants. But that is not what they are offering.

This is not about civil rights or human rights. It is about political sovereignty. These people are colonists. The "11 million" number is not a measure of injustice. It is a measure of the dumbing of America.

As a practical matter, I would support the following plan: (1) Seal the border with overwhelming military force, including shoot on sight. (2) Offer those who are already here a path to citizenship with a firm ultimatim: Become fluent in English and speak only English at work and in public places, or else. Forcing these people to master English will result in their assimilation, which would eliminate my only objection to them being here.

We need them as true immigrants. We need to give the boot to those who are here to colonize. If we focus on the language issue, then all of the other issues will become much easier to resolve.
