It's very disturbing to come home and find a burglary has happened. I exprienced that in DC when I live on Capitol Hill... twice. The intrusion is as bad as the losses.

I'm certain the MVPD is investigating this diligently. Their pedestrian sting operation is bound to turn something up soon.

Those of us concerned about pedestrian safety are glad to see the MVPD taking our concerns seriously. We would rather have a "pedestrian sting" that raises all drivers' awareness, than have another neighbor run down by a "distracted driver."

I had 3 thefts in 6 years at the Americana from the storage locker and my car in the garage under the biulding. But never a theft from inside the apartement.

MVPD is smart and very well run, don't be so ignorant. Name me 1 city south of here where you are sure the police are better? Saratoga? Cupertino? Los Gatos? You are fools, MVPD is on top of game better then all The Bay Area. If you don't agree move- this is PETTY CRIMES, get a clue.

You Silicon Valley types think you're so smart, with all of your tricky gadgets. Between the enormous wealth of the tech sector here, and the assumption of genius at Stanford, one would think you'd have made East Palo Alto into the Poster Child for how genius tackles the issues of poverty and racism. You certainly have the wealth, I don't know about the genius part. And your hubris and narcissism are leading you deeply into Detroit territory.

The issue is burglaries but since you've mentioned pedestrians and MVPD....

I guess you must be the driver who has nearly hit my children, while walking
in the crosswalk. Or maybe you're the driver who by-passed me in a residential neighborhood
because I was driving the speed limit - too slow for you, right? Frankly, if your finances suffer:
I think it's worth it. Hum, let's see lives or money??? What's more important to you?
MVPD - does what it takes to get the job done, right. Since when don't Police strive to
save lives and protect communities? Sad to know this view exists in my neighborhood, but
I do what I need to do also to protect my kids lives: everyday I tell my kids, "watch for
careless drivers." And remind them when it's safe to cross, yet I still don't understand
why you continue to stop in the cross-walk?

One needn't be victimized by injustice or police misconduct to recognize it as wrong. It makes me sad to see people excusing and even welcoming oppression from our 'big brother'

The victims at California and Escuela, Central Expressway, Phyllis and Hans and all the rest of the deceased and living, who were hit by vehicles are the "actual" VICTIMS.
