Would-be robber thwarted when clerk flees

A local convenience store clerk thwarted an attempted armed robber by running away, according to a police report.

The Rotten Robbie robberies (Rotten Robberies?) across the street over the summer had a similar description:

Seems like a pretty choice location for a robbery, because 237 is just a few blocks away, along with many escape routes (Whisman has a lot of hiding places, and there's that kinda dense area of trees across the street, as well as the ability to run through the back parking lots of any of those businesses. And the police department is off of Shoreline.

I wonder if it's that lunatic that lives in the laundromat there in that strip mall with his two huge dogs. A friend who lives over there had a very unpleasant encounter with that guy over the summer.
