Pumar to go to trial

Matthew Pumar, the driver accused of hitting and killing a local man, William Ware, last June will stand trial on the charge of felony vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, a judge ruled today (Jan. 3) at the conclusion of the case's preliminary hearing.

Most modern cars have black boxes and the feds very recently started requiring these data recorders on all cars so investigaters don't have to estimate how fast you were going, they can get the actual data from the car.

Event Recorders aren't required until model year 2015 I believe. Talk about an intrusion into our privacy.

I'd imagine they'd be pretty easy to disable though.
