A bit unnerving to watch the gutter water crest over the sidewalk and begin creeping into the yard. I walked down to the "lake" at the corner
storm drain and reached (way) down into the water, expecting to feel leaves clogging the grate. Nope. Just water and not a lot of flow.
The neighbors are usually good about clearing the grates away during big rains, but this time, there was nothing to do to improve the drainage. Not a big deal, but for the first time, I evaluated where I might place sandbags if I had to(yikes!). Glad it got a chance to drain away before the next wave. Exciting stuff :)
