Holiday Fund: Rotacare volunteers busier than ever

A lot of people donate food, gifts or money around the holidays, but there is a special group of people who give year-round -- they give their time. Mountain View Rotacare at 2400 Grant Road is one of 12 Rotacare clinics in the Bay Area that offer free healthcare for the community's uninsured.

The RotaCare Free Medical Clinic is a wonderful facility for our community. Have you been in there to look around? It's really a first class facility with first class people working there. Thanks to El Camino Hospital which gives strong support to the clinic.

Rotacare is a perfect example of good intentions gone right. They are at the front lines of the health care crisis in this country, fighting the good fight. I'll be donating DIRECTLY to Rotacare this year.

Actually, thank the taxpayers as well since that's where ECH gets its funding.
