This season centers around the date that we celebrate the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. Why is it so offensive to atheists that we call it a Christmas Tree?

Why do you care what others call it? Call it a X-mas tree if you want. I call it a Festivus Pole. The Holiday season centers around MORE than JUST the birth of Jesus. That day is the 25th. Yesterday was the 3rd. The celebration was for the Holiday Season, not just for Christmas. To call it a Christmas tree is exclusionary to those who celebrate other holidays. Not offensive I don't think, but exclusionary.
You see, its not about just YOUR religion, its about including ALL members of the community to celebrate the _holidays_. We choose to do it with a tree. When its the 25th I'll say Merry Christmas so until then...Happy Holidays and on Dec 23rd, Merry Fesivus!
