I completely disagree. What skills does CEO Tomi Ryba, who is paid $700,000 a year, have that somebody paid merely $350,000 wouldn't have? It seems whatever, if any, skill lacking could be compensated by hiring another employee, or three, with the remaining $350,000.
Everyone should vote "Yes" on Measure M on Nov. 6.

Executive compensation is out of control. The editor can't escape that fact and has bought into the whole best-qualified leader argument. And this is a hospital that has some what of a monopoly in the area for people that have insurance that the hospital accepts. BTW, most of the Mountain View residents I know can't afford ECH and end up at Kaiser.

Skills that come in at 700k? I do not get the logic? Pay him 1.4 million and the skill would double?

The editor no doubt thinks he or she is worth a ton of money as well.

Hooray, Measure M passed!
Thank goodness the sensible voters realize that a CEO who oversees one mid-size and one small community hospital should not command a salary that is 4x that of the President of the United States!
