Third-graders set to get their hands dirty

Mountain View third-graders will be digging into education this fall with a new program that teaches science, social studies and math concepts through hands-on gardening.

Vicky and her husband have been helping local schools 'go green' for many years now. Scott helps get kids to use bikes to go to high school. Vicky used to be heavily involved on the Green Belt Alliance. This is the good definition of 'dirt on their hands'.
