Where science fiction meets reality

An ardent belief that technology can solve the world's greatest problems defines the 80 students of Singularity University, who will graduated at NASA Research Park on Saturday, Aug. 18, after 10 weeks spent brainstorming ideas to "positively affect the lives of a billion people within a decade."

L'il Abner [anybody remember??] said:"good is better than evil 'cuz its nicer". Optimism is better than pessimism 'cuz it has a chance.

Global warming is happening, regardless of our missing two summers. Whether it is due to us or normal cycles is immaterial; we snooze, we loose!

England raised children to "rule the world" [C. Northcote Parkinson] and it worked [until they "fixed it"]. Good to see someone "going for it".
