Supervisors set to vote on sales tax measure

The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors this afternoon were set to vote on whether to place a measure on the November ballot that would increase the countywide sales tax by one-eighth of a cent.

Salary cuts for all county employees. We need to get cost structures in-line before we start throwing more money at them.

I'm voting "NO." Our combined tax burden is too high and politicians continue to push wasteful projects like high-speed rail.

I'll vote against all tax increase proposals until government learns to live within its means.
