Bill to fund high-speed rail hangs in the balance

The high speed rail project has devolved into the most horrible example of bait-and-switch I've ever seen. The Legislative Analysts Office, the State Auditor and UC Berkeley's ITS have all raised legitimate concerns that CHSRA has not answered. Shame on Governor Moonbeam for ramming this through on short notice during a holiday week. If it passes, I'll definitely vote "no" on Jerry's tax increase.

Steve, I'm with you. I'm against this HSR project too. This just goes to show how a lot of politicians really are: out for themselves and the special interest groups that put them there. Yea for MV and PA for trying to fight this bad idea!

Sorry.. I didn't vote for it the first time I had the chance.

But since the price tag has more than doubled on what we, the people, voted for.. we should be allowed to vote on it again.

The voters approved a $30 billion dollar plan. Not $68 billion.

Stick to the plan or put it up for anoter vote.

With $8 "BILLION" in new taxes that need to be approved in November per Jerry Brown or he will have to make drastic cuts to education.

Can we really afford HSR going through some of the most expensive property on the planet?

Hold the kids education hostage, so pet projects can be funded?
Seriously, Is this what California has become?

I am not against HSR, when we have "extra" money, we should build it.
Not when we do not have enough to deal with today.

"Just say No" to any new taxes... regardless what it is for.
