To continue my previous comment on this issue ( that someone tried to play the DEFLECTION card on ), The two towns of Black Hawk and Central City, CO made sure that the original historic buildings ( some in the same condition as the building in question here ) HAD TO BE REBUILT OR USED by the gambling organizations before gambling places could be added!

Why not make it a requirement that the original building be restored and/or moved to a Mtn. View park?

That has been the usual compromise along with sticking to your urban renewal plans that keeps the small town atmosphere that your TAXPAYING RESIDENTS want!

Again, CO has MANY examples of these compromises all over the state ( not just in Denver, my snarky commenter ). Properly managed, they even become tourist attractions.
