I hope the new (and old) Board members will give attention to the Emergency Room at El Camino Hospital. Most/all the doctors and nurses there are contract workers (not regular, full-time ECH staff) and the coordination of care for a patient in the ER can be dismal, even dangerous: Patients left in exam rooms for hours, even overnight, yet not given meals; infection-causing errors with IVs, no consistent hand-washing, call buttons hung out of reach of patients, and more.

The compliments I read about ECH are always for the "regular" hospital. I fear having to go to the ER unless I arrive in an ambulance in extremis and therefore pass immediately into the hands of regular ECH medical professionals.

I am excited to see Dr. Jeffrey Davis on the board of directors he is a great guy and I think he will do a great job as a board member. I worked with him in the past working toward a healthcare CRM like http://www.marketware.com

With Dr. Davis past experience and his a master's degree in public health I am glad he is on the board.
