Here comes the sun

Sunday's partial solar eclipse was best viewed indirectly, as seen in this photo with a multitude of images of the sun projected onto a wall. The photo, entitled "My view of the eclipse" was submited by a Voice reader.

My wife and I took our three kids up to Foothill for the eclipse. It may have been the most well attended event ever held at the observatory, the place was totally mobbed!

Even though we gave up after waiting in line for around an hour, we saw lots of interesting projections of the eclipse, and ran into a number of other nerdy friends there.
