So I get a flat and I bring my bike to Performance for a fix and I see this. Now the building is "unsafe and compromised". *SIGH*

R - Reverse

D - Drive

How many people did the driver just put out of work if the building is considered unsafe? I guess they can go to the Day Worker Center while the building is being repaired.

Car drivers hate bicycles so much that they are even crashing into bicycles inside bike shops.

This isn't the first car vs. bike shop incident in the Bay Area. A couple of years ago, the same thing happened to a bike shop a few miles up El Camino Real in Belmont.

We can get revenge and ride our bikes through the window of a BMW dealer.

I thought this place had drive-thru service, no?

The article says the car jumped the curb. Are they talking about the curb along El Camino? Or was the car already in the parking lot when it jumped the sidewalk in front of the store? There is a pretty big distance between El Camino and the building.

WHOA.... ?? No Police Report ??? Why Not ??

Becauseit happened on Private Property ???? That's a great excuse...

I get it... so if someone gets murdered "On Private Property" then there will be "NO POLICE REPORT"??? Gives a good reason for some nut case to do an act and have no police involvement ???

HuH ???

Don't blame the driver at all. I have had such bad experiences at this place I felt like driving my car through the window!

Karma anyone?

They were probably just frustrated with the lack of parking at Chevy's.

I'm glad no-one was injured. It is amusing that the store occupants were protected by bike helmets... a whole rack of them!

Officers were there for 3 hours and NO police report? Really? Wish I worked for them.

since the trend in Cal cities to down size police departments
the cops feel that doing their job is optional on their part.
this just makes me think that we "need" even less of them!

as for Performance well Karma has spoken.......

Seriously? The building was compromised? It's a glass facade, how much structural support could it have offered. Stick a few 4X4's in there and let them get down to business!

The owners should open despite what the inspector says and see what they actually do. This is more about city workers justifying their jobs than public safety.

Business friendly Mtn.View.... Yeah, right!

Was she picking up a bike helmet to wear while she is driving her BMW? Has driving gotten that dangerous in our area?

"newer model BMW" - that's a brand new F10 5-series. She can afford to pay for the repairs - and driving lessons.
