This is not investigative reporting. It is an old-fashioned witch hunt. Relying on unsupported allegations, you have cost an individual his job. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Well, Menlo Park School District hired Mountain View ex-Superintendent Ghysels, so I think that only proves how useless background checks are.

And Mountain View has teachers at Graham Middle School who don't even hold credentials. So it makes you wonder how thorough schools are in looking into the backgrounds of employees.

When will the Superintendent do something about the fact that some teachers in our district do not have the proper credentials to be teaching in our schools? Our district has claimed it is mandatory and yet, there have been some without the credentials teaching for years at Graham. Some teachers are held to the standards and some not. Why the double standard?

Putting this particular case aside for one moment, is really the *accusation* of a crime enough to bar a person from work? That seems to run counter to our legal system.

" is really the *accusation* of a crime enough to bar a person from work?"

It's not. This 'news' article is a "straw man" argument (using an irrelevant case to argue a point) - which is poor reporting.
