Fire guts apartments on Dana Street

Firefighters battled a four-alarm structure fire in Mountain View Monday afternoon that damaged 26 apartments.

Thank goodness nobody was seriously injured. I feel sorry for the people in the apartment complex who may have lost everything they owned.

Thanks for posting the radio traffic recording. It was pretty wild be able to follow the fire blow by blow.

Many thanks to the firemen/women who protect us every day of the week! They did a great job caring for this fire and the apartment renters. Gracias to all of them.

Also thanks to the city's emergency communications center for doing an excellent job of coordinating the response to this fire and getting the mutual aid that was needed from other fire departments.
