"We encourage people to have alarm systems at their house and to have them activated when they are not home," she said.
Wylie forgot to point out that you have to cut a check for $15 to MVPD every year in order to have a legal alarm system. It's MVPD's version of a self licking ice cream. There's no way apparently to stop this type of crime, so get an alarm system installed and start pay the police every year for not protecting you with more patrols and less speed traps.

Ned, your comments reflect a well informed and reasonable point of view. How many speed traps does MVPD operate?

So Ned, if you don't want speed traps, don't speed. But enforcing the speed limit doesn't necessarily constitute a speed trap.
If everyone would drive like a responsible citizen the police wouldn't have to spend their time enforcing traffic laws to make the roadways and sidewalks safer. Make it your patriotic duty to obey all laws, even the laws covering the operatation of a motorized vehicle. Put the cell phone down, drive the speed limit, stop at stop signs/lights, give right-of-way, use your signals, wipers on/lights on...
