UPDATE: No gunman found after 2.5-hour search

After an "exhaustive search" police have stopped looking for a man with a rifle reportedly seen near the intersection of highways 237 and 85.

perhaps a hunter coming home from the weekend unloading his car?
Whatever the case, one thing is for sure...more guns in more people's hands will fix this and every problem we have.

how can the headline be: "Man reportedly shooting rifle at cars"

when later in the article it reads:

"No drivers have reported that they were shot at, Wylie said."

??????

Might this not simply have been a city surveyor, carrying his tripod and optical gear, and wearing his safety vest?

Probably an umbrella instead of a rifle. Eye witnesses are notoriusly unreliable.

Aren't hunters required to register? Why don't the cops just pay a visit to everyone on the registry? They should think about putting some cameras up around the hunting zone in case more serious accidents happen.
