Original post made on Jan 17, 2012

The best way to celebrate MLK's day is for the gangs and thugs to give up their guns and get a decent job and stop listening to violent rap music that degrades women, police and other ethnicity . I don't see that happening real soon.

Wow, dude. You're an awesome person. Using the life and works of a great American civil rights leader to bash a genre of music. Sure, it can be crude. Sure, I'll buy that it probably exacerbates violent behavior in some instances. But riddle me this: would you support taking Huckleberry Finn off of public school reading lists? Gangster rap in its worst form can be atrocious and with little to know redeeming qualities. But at it's best it is merely an unflinching and honest look at life in the projects. Have you ever lived in the projects? Maybe you have. Maybe you have and you were inspired to write McCartney-esque pop tunes. But if that is the case, my friend, then you are in the minority of a viciously oppressed minority. I guess, if that is the case with you, I should applaud you for your optimism. Let's all give jupiterk a round of applause, everybody! Speaking of your name, you know, singer-songwriters tend to use their real name on stage. Adopting a nom de plume makes you more akin to 50 Cent than Peter, Paul and Mary.

Jupiterk,

You're in the running for the worst comment of the year and it's only January.

Your post glows with racism. I know it's the cool thing these days to blame the person calling you out for being racist, and to use the words "race card" and whine about how everyone is P.C. That doesn't work here. We see through you.

You should change the t in your ID name to a j.
