I don't know all the ins and outs of the California High-Speed Rail Authority saga. But it would be sad if we don't have enough collective foresight to link the two largest population centers in the most populous state in the US with a good rail connection.

Not as sad as the reason for the Rail Authority CEO's for stepping down.
Boohoo.
Anyone want to take bets he goes back into the business of selling trains, or better yet, consults with other public agencies to push for more big rail projects?
