City to hire staff to handle Google's growth

Illustrating just how much Google plans to grow in future years, the City Council voted Tuesday night to take $255,000 up front from Google and use it to hire new city staff to handle that growth.

Sounds like more of the same.....Google pays less than their fair share of taxes towards schools and infrastructure with the blessing of our city council. In return, Google can buy Mountain View city services when they are needed and again blessed by our city council. I guess Google does own Mountain View.

The article spells Synopsys wrong. They don't spell it like the English word in the same way that Google isn't named Googol.

More bureaucracy is just what we need. I think Google has been a good corporate citizen and I think our city council is reckless in the way they spend our money. The city government is already way over staffed. If it was run like a business rather then a country club they could get by with half as many people.
