Dittmer's to leave Mountain View

Original post made on Nov 9, 2011

Meh, close enough. Heck, a few hundred yards from their old shop is Los Altos. Too bad MV lost out of the tax revenues of a solid business though. These things happen. Not the end of the world.

Would be interesting to know if the 'negotiations' that fell through were with City of MV or the landlord (does anyone know?). Would have preferred they stayed in MV.

Don't worry. It'll still be listed in the Best of Mountain View :)

Honestly, Los Gatos Meats is within walking distance from my place in LG. However, I'd rather drive to Mountain View or Los Altos for Dittmer's meats. I'm simply glad to hear progress has been made and that they plan on opening in early 2012.

Maybe we can get the new grocer's on Castro Street to provide Dittmer's meats once they build their new sandwich area. That would be great.
