To all Supporters of Palo Alto Bowl: Please Read!

Original post made by Daniel Mart, Cuesta Park, on Oct 16, 2011

To all supporters: all we can do now is make as many people aware as possible, take action toward both the council and the developer, and really urge Congresswoman Eshoo to look into these types of things; I had a lengthy phone conversation with a higher-up in her office. This is discrimination, and an issue that should never go away. The "issue" here is not just about the preservation of a historic building. The "issue" here is also about discrimination. At a time when we are celebrating 25 years of The Bridge School, we are "also" witnesses to the biggest local discrimination issue of my lifetime! How ironic, and how sad. How so very sad. Yet ... we have the power. Always remember. We have the power, the ability, to alter the status quo; to change things for the better. For the betterment of all disabled people, and for the betterment of society as a whole. Never, EVER give up! As far as I'm concerned, the story of Palo Alto Bowl is far from over.
