Palo Alto Bowl: Do Not Ever Think That You are Incapable of Positive Change! Read On...

Original post made by Daniel Mart, Cuesta Park, on Sep 28, 2011

Everybody: it is never too late to begin altering what is obviously a very, very broken status quo. A status quo that favors the rich and, as this issue shows us, can very easily discriminate.

Everybody: don't "ever" think that you are incapable of creating positive change; contact both the city and Barry Swenson, and make your voice heard today! And while you're at it, make a call to Congresswoman Anna Eshoo's local office. :)

“It is sad in this community that wealth doesn't make room, not only for special needs, but just for normal people. Most communities in America pride themselves on having things like bowling alleys. We tear 'em down and replace 'em with million-dollar condos”
-- Now-former councilmember and vice-mayor Jack Morton at the public hearing

With their decision to zone most of Palo Alto for housing and a refusal to budge here early on and be a government that stands up "for" the people, this city council shares as much blame as Barry Sweson Builder.
