Quick! They may not be stolen yet. If you get there before 9/9 then you can get them before the thief comes.

If you use one of the barking dog alarms (Hometech Solutions, Cupertino, CA, has access to them, by STI, Inc.), you can leave your door/window ajar as the microwaves penetrate *through* your walls to let you know someone is approaching your front door from 10-15 feet away (or *wherever* you decide to place it, facing in an outside direction, through walls, etc.). Whether or not you feel the bark is realistic enough, it's realistic enough to wake you, and cause the burglar to decide it's best to leave. We swear by ours. Of course, we also have a real German Shepherd mix, so a possible burglar will never know until it's too late if it's "real or Memorex", as the saying used to go. Chomp, or no chomp, that is the question.

Here's the link to check out the dog bark alarm. You can even listen to a sound file for what it sounds like. Like I say, it's not whether or not it sounds "real", but "Does it get your/their attention?"
