Public can review compensation info on controller's website

On Aug. 2, state controller John Chiang, along with the chancellor of California's community colleges, Jack Scott, sent a letter to all 72 community college districts throughout the state asking them to submit information on pay scales for employees. It was part of Chiang's continuing effort to make the payment of government officials and employees more transparent.
