Oh great, now the crime wave is moving toward my neighborhood with kids caught up in it. It would be nice to know what the police are doing about it other than reporting it.

@reader: What are they doing? Precisely nothing. What the boy did was what any true American should be able to do, defend himself, his home, and his family. This boy was not "brave" (I hate the "" that were stuck around the word in this article, as they imply in a PC/BS way that while the boy's actions remedied the situation, he "should not have done it", and should have just wussed out, like a good little sheeple). No. What the boy did was BRAVE, and it should be recognized as such.

The plain truth of it is that in the moment, the police are not going to be there to rescue you in the nick of time. You, and only you, are there...and you have to do it. Since it only looks like the criminal element is getting bolder, things are going to get worse. Are *you* prepared?

dude this is not true. first of all he isn't even American he's Mexican. second of all he wasn't brave. he did not stand up to the guy. he was sitting down when the guy came in and he was trying to fix the BB gun. not knowing that the guy was in yet he cocked it and looked up only to see the guy there. it was an accident. not a brave act. an accident. he is sitting right next to me as i write this he is my friend. and he agrees. it was just a simple coincident. these reporters need to learn to not put words in peoples mouths and twist them. cuz you don't know if this guy was reading this or not. he could be and then think "hey this punk is lying that he stood up to me". its just not something that's safe...
