It's a long ways from the day worker center, Jesse. In fact I live two blocks away from it, and we aren't having any problems with higher rates of burglaries here. Much closer to the burglary site are two churches--maybe a sinning Christian?--and the Castro street businesses. Could be a Wells Fargo or Bank of America bank employee jealous of his richer brethren on Wall Street, a hungry filching Frenchie from Le Boulangerie, a Google employee doing it just for the thrill, or --gee, how many different ethnic businesses are there on Castro, we could slander every ethnicity if we just try a little. Go ahead, you've apparently got a knack for it.

By the way, the day worker center, at 133 Escuela Street in Mountain View, can always use help including donations such as office and kitchen supplies for the center; clothing and household supplies for the workers; and volunteers for activities including teaching English and work skills. From what I've seen of it it's a well-run facility that provides a needed service to the community.

Well, Donna. What critical needed services does the Day Worker Center provide? Illegal and untaxed work for illegal aliens who crossed our border without the courtesy to respect out language and culture?
In my former residence in Mountain View, we had to put up fences and locked gates to keep out burglars. The gates and fences faced towards the barrios. Coincidence?
What social values do illegal aliens provide for us besides violating our laws and committing crimes?
