So sad when it is not safe to sit outside your own home in broad daylight.

You ask us for subscription money, but you will not report the full news. By not telling us the full description of the suspects, you are just helping the criminals keep committing crimes in Mountain View. I wonder if you got robber whether you would give the police a full description. Of course you would, so why don't you do the same for us.

OK, be on the look out for...a man in everyday clothes. No other description is available? REALLY!?!?!
People can now walk right up to you in front of your house, snatch things off your body and there won't be any REAL descrioption of the perpetrator?
I call that aiding and abedding by whoever is withholding this information...looking at you MV Police and MV Voice.

This IS truly ridiculous. Dark hair? blonde? Fat? Tall? Skin color? General clothing? The very fact that you did not mention skin color will mean that everyone will assume race anyway, since you would almost certainly mention it if he were white. With this amount of information I am surprised you mentioned male or female to avoid being sexist!

Sorry folks, but the police were unable to provide us with additional details of the suspect description, other than he was of "medium" height and build.

Great...the necklace is ripped from her neck but she can't describe who took it? Come on! Perhaps the Police are too PC at the expense of those they serve! This is ridiculous!

This story didn't need to be any longer than:
"A 25-year-old Mountain View woman was robbed of her gold necklace Thursday evening while in the 2000 block of Latham Street, police said."
It could have even been shortened to:
"Woman. Robbed. Gold Necklace. Latham Street."
...and we'd have all the details we need, sadly.

This is completely irresponsible journalism. Demand a description from the MVPD. We ought to fire the lot of them and legalize open carry for law-abiding citizens. They're more worried about their compensation and pensions than they are about the common good.

With the current price of gold I bet this starts happening more and more.

@OldBen: The police don't have a better suspect description because the victim couldn't give them one.

MVPD deleted my comment on their facebook page saying it was outrageous that they'll letting the area across the street from Castro school become a free-crime zone.
Must have be the officer assigned to the head-in-sand division is also their facebook guy.

Why not place security cameras on some of the buildings on Latham. I loved there as a single woman (to the tune of $1000 a month by the way) and I never felt safe walking my dog down the street.
I suggest some of the slumlords around there do something to help catch these thieves.

Jenn- "Loved" to the tune of $1,000? So prostitution is also rampant on Latham?

It looks like the same person is creating many bogus IDs just to complain about Mexicans.
