I guess the city council members will be seeing lot of goodies in their bank accounts and lots of freebies like sports tickets, travel to exotic destinations, cases of fine wine,etc... once the approval process is done.

Way to go , Mountain View city council members. Time to recoup and fatten your election campaign expenses/fund.

jupiterk, do you have anything to back that up, or are you just being insulting for the heck of it?

MV Voice, great article -- this is the kind of informative local coverage that I can't get anywhere else!

I'll second Martin's comment. JupiJerk is just a provocateur.

"Some council members said the small lot needed to be combined with neighboring lots for a workable project, possibly a "work-loft" style housing project, said council members Mike Kasperzak and Laura Macias.

Council members John Inks and Tom Means voted for the housing project, with Means criticizing council members for thinking they had a better idea of what sort of homes would sell. "You just don't know what you are doing," Means said to Ward facetiously"

Almost fell out of my chair watching the replay tonight. You have to wonder what developers think when council members untrained in design and architecture, who have never built anything, lecture them on how to build housing. What a joke.
