New cleanup efforts for Superfund site

Support from Mountain View residents may be all that is required to quickly clean up a small toxic groundwater plume at the north end of Sierra Vista Avenue that was left behind by an early Silicon Valley circuit board manufacturer.

I can't believe that new homes were built on top of a known active toxic waste site. Did the builder tell the home buyers what they were getting in to?

@scary: This isn't the only development in MV that's built on a toxic waste site. Always read your disclosures!

What about the park the city built at Sierra Vista and Plymouth? Does that have toxic vapor as well?
