Well, this doctor has a s***load of work to do! ( pun intended ).
Under the LAST administration, ECH had an atmosphere of NON CLEANLINESS that fostered the growth of C-DIFF cases. That infection from my last treatment at the hospital gave me a C-DIFF infection that lasted for WEEKS. I had to get the proper treatment in CO....and the diagnosis was wait it out...provided you don't dehydrate and die from it. I was discouraged from going for a visit to a hospital in CO...THEY knew about it and didn't want it!
That is the problem...ECH HAS HAD A C-DIFF infection problem for YEARS.
Removal of this " little problem " will require some drastic measures to the physical plant, not just the " Band-Aid " approach to treating this problem....
How do you AUTOCLAVE a whole building?

C. Diff is not killed by using the hand gels/sanitizers that are used ubiquitously now in hospitals and clinics. This brings back into focus the old fashioned idea of washing your hands with soap and warm water. What a concept!!
As consumers, we have an obligation to request our health care practitioners if they have come into contact w/ C.Diff and to wash their hands with soap and water before they come near us.
Again, C-diff is NOT killed by hand sanitizers. Tell your friends and request what you need.
