Could those windows be recycled?

Navy air monitoring has recorded surprisingly high levels of asbestos inside and outside the Ames buildings to the north of Hangar 1 in the week since the dismantling began. This and other toxic waste problems are not being communicated to Ames employees.

Mountain View just may have gotten a painful lesson:
DELAY IS THE DEADLIEST FORM OF DENIAL.
BTW, are you going
to go public with your data breach or deny it too???
You owe your public some answers...

The quicker the asbestos abatement process can begin at Hangar One, the better. The longer crews are out there, the greater the possibility of disturbance and inhalation. This is a very sensitive process though, so it should not be done by trained professionals only. Regards, SK – Web Link

What a sad waste. I'm wondering if the $30 million from Google can be used to help preserve the windows.
Alternately, could they be sold for souveniers to raise money for the preservation (like pieces of the Berlin wall)?

I agree - silly to send the windows to a landfill. I'm certain they could find happy homes elsewhere - if only as pieces of backyard art. I'd take/buy one!

And to top it all off - The company doing the work is not an American company - Don't you think they could have made it a priority to hire American? - It is on Federal Land !!
