This guy is obviously a sicko and needs help, but running after someone is rape now? Seems quite a stretch. They have more imagination than I ever suspected down at the ol' MVPD.

Isn't that close to the Day Worker Center?

I bet this guy gets more jail time that the K.Sun lady who killed a guy and ran away.

By the standard set in the K.Sun case, this guy should get about 30 seconds of jail time, but of course he won't.

I criticize the MVPD regularly for their revenue-generating "law enforcement". This time I commend them for working that area, performing real law enforcement in neighborhood that needs their presence. Good work!

That incident is similar to another event which happened in front of Rite Aid on Grant Ave (I think) about 1 week ago, reported in MVV. In that incident the woman photographed the guy, his car including its license and then called 911, resulting in arrest by Police.

She took the guy's and car's photo on her cellphone..... (sorry I missed that in the prev comment)

The Eye is a registered user.

It just goes to show that when citizens step up to the plate, and help the police by getting vital information, crimes can be solved in record time, keeping our neighborhoods safe.

Can't believe anyone is criticizing the MVPD on this one. The more they can charge him with and the longer they can put him away, the better. Why wait until he actually rapes someone? There are many ways that our priorities are out of whack when it comes to what gets someone the most prison time but I have little mercy for those that commit crimes of a sexual or violent nature.

"The more they can charge him with and the longer they can put him away, the better."

Really? Wow! So much for civil rights. Why not charge him with drunk driving as well.

It will be hard to prove the attempted rape charge.

That is correct... Crisanto Ave is in the neighborhood of Day Worker Center: [Web Link

I'm sorry, but did anyone else notice that Liz neglected to mention if Mr. Camacho happened to be an illegal alien? After the kidnapping/non-deportation fiasco a few weeks ago, it's not surprising to me that it wasn't mentioned.

But with the trumped up charge of rape, maybe he is an illegal and this is the only way to get him deported????

If you parse "Camacho was charged with indecent exposure and assault with attempt to rape -- the second charge stemming from his aggressively following the victim, Wylie explained" correctly, it follows as below:
assault with attempt to rape = the second charge = aggressively following the victim

It is "attempted rape," not "rape."

Okay then, the trumped up charge of "attempted rape." Is 'aggressively following someone' a crime? Why wasn't he charged with stalking too? Just asking?
