I guess they are on their way to the Main Jail!

I do hope the police catch these scummy people. So many aspects of the story sickens me to the pit of my stomach.

Glad the target of these "friends" and her dog are ok.

I have zero tolerance for any of the 'explanations' for druggies and their behaviors. Just not a good "co" I guess.

I used to care. I really did. I cared about race relations. I cared about the starving kids all over the world. I cared that nuclear power would be the end of us all. I cared enough to vote in every election. I cared enough to actually study a candidate for any office, or study the issues being voted on. I cared that massive spending would lead to massive debt. I cared about a lot of things. But in the many decades I cared, nothing has changed except the faces. So now, I only care about myself and my family. More narrowly, I care most about myself and my wife. We are great grandparents, so I figure the kids and grandkids can care for themselves now. I'm tired of all the crap going on everywhere. How about you?

just one possible untold prelude to the report...

"I've been charging you $120 for the past 2 yrs... I've got a friend that gets $160 and says she could use more. So, either come up with $160 or I'm outta here!"

This story smells funny to me... I'll withhold judgement until the full story is out.

Painkillers - the new white man's burden.

All these pill stories popping up everywhere, yet marijuana remains illegal. What hypocrisy!!! Booze and pills killing people by the 100's of thousands but marijuana is illegal; ridiculous!

The Eye is a registered user.

This woman's choice of "friends" is certainly suspect, and quite frankly, the only one I really care about turning out OK was that poor dog. As others have put forth, this story is fragmented and incomplete at best.

I hope they soon release the names of this thieving couple of scumbags.

> Tired_Activist:

Really? Somebody gets robbed for drugs so you want to give up, shut off your compassion, and care only for yourself? How sour. Read Robinson Jeffers, get out and smell the Spring air, spend some time with your exuberant great-grandchildren; live, man!

[...] Integrity is wholeness, the greatest beauty is
Organic wholeness, the wholeness of life and things, the divine beauty of
the universe. Love that, not man
Apart from that, or else you will share man's pitiful conclusions, or drown in
despair when his days darken.

Is the sky falling yet? People, it's just one incident. Don't mountain the molehill.

There are so many things weird with this story that I am not going to even comment!

These things will happen from time to time at the local opiate dispensaries. I don't think these dispensaries belong in our city. Look at the crime they attract. The majority of people I see going into them seem perfectly healthy so its obvious they're all just scamming the system to get their joy pills and party all day.

Wow MedPot. Pretty lame comparison to pot distribution centers. We NEED pharmacies to distribute medications in a community. We don't NEED pot dispensaries (well, maybe YOU do).

The story IS odd. It is possible that it went down as the victim described. It is also just as possible that she NORMALLY gets their oxi for them, but this time it went poorly for some reason (price argument or some such).

No actually we don't NEED opiate dispensaries in our town. People who want their "medicine" can drive to San Jose...its not that far and if you need medicine, that doesn't seem so much to ask.

..The preceding RIDICULOUS statements by me are actually the exact same arguments against other medicinal depositories in this town.
I think its clear how ridiculous those statements are now. Just shining the light on hypocrisy on this fine Mountain View day.

Ahhh... now the story becomes more muddied... the police are no longer looking to arrest the couple, but want to talk to them to understand what happened. The 'victim' is no longer cooperating:

from the MV crime log...

Initially, police took the alleged victim at her word, and were seeking to arrest her assailants. However, since the incident, the police have been unable to contact the woman, whose cell phone has been disconnected and who would give the police only a post office box number, according to police spokeswoman Liz Wylie.

"We're suspicious that she may have purposely misled us in our efforts to find the suspects," Wylie said. "There is more to this story than we currently know."
