Caltrain board postpones action on service cuts

Caltrain's board of directors Thursday postponed voting on a set of proposed service cuts and fare hikes intended to save the agency from financial disaster.

Looks like someone read the SJ Mercury article about the board rubber stamping any decision put before them by Caltrain

After all the drama of the last few months about drastic cuts needed for survival, Caltrain is not going to do any cut which means it's going to be harder in 2012 to convince the voters that they need dedicated funding (i.e. another tax on top of the all the other public transportation taxes).

This dedicated funding thing seems to be all political positioning anyway. The light rail does not have "dedicated funding" it gets funding from VTA!
What's next, dedicated funding for the Baby Bullet Trains so that they don't get cut?
