Police use stun gun on man

Original post made on Apr 5, 2011

Local police used an electronic "stun gun" to subdue a local man who refused to cooperate with an officer early Saturday morning. The man and his daughter were ultimately arrested for resisting, delaying and obstructing officers called to an alleged domestic violence incident.

If the "mail jail" is in lowercase, it implies it is located in Mountain View? I guess it should be in uppercase, which refers to the "Main Jail" in San Jose?

Seriously, where did this 260 lb Ramos guy come from? He should have been arrested too.

"...responding to a domestic violence report phoned in..."
Was this call to police placed by a neighbor or some 3rd party?

I hate to join the chorus of nitpickers, but I think it's "drive" and not "drize." (On the other hand, you can always just make the corrections and delete these comments--isn't the web great?).

On the surface, this seems like it may not have been an appropriate use of a Taser, especially because he was clearly intoxicated. The limited research I've seen suggests that a Taser is much riskier and lethal when the suspect is intoxicated. Does the department have any protocol regarding that?

If you are drunk and fighting with the police you leave yourself open to being tasered, shot or clubbed....all three would be better in my book. Thank you to the Mt. View Police for cleaning up this piece of trash (and his piece of trash daughter).

Here "we" go again - all the comments made above, re: this story, are real good examples of people with ABSOLUTELY nothing to do. Again, I must say PATHETIC. In the same train of thought - -
get a life, please, for the sake of the children!! Get out in the sun, pull some weeds, wave at the neighbors. Get out of your respective caves while you're still able.

Good Job MVPD, finally doing something right in taking them to jail. Should have checked their legal status as well.

Re: t-bone's entry above, you "snuck in" before I could get my reply sent. I certainly wasn't referring to your words. You are right on!!

jusme, you really sound like you need some help. Mentally unstable is not what we need here. Get HELP NOW!! I know you have nothing to do but get to your nearest ER soon before you hurt yourself or someone else.

jusme seems just fine to me. Not sure why anyone would label him or her mentally unstable, except to try to shut down someone who disagrees with you. Try using reasoning to support your own point instead.
