Local girls embrace a sporting life

The Bay Area Women's Sports Initiative -- a non-profit organization that provides free extra curricular athletic activities to young girls in Title I schools around the Bay Area -- enrolled its 10,000th participant March 25 at Castro Elementary in Mountain View.

the BAWSI program is AWESOME! I've seen it firsthand at Castro.
It's definitely worthy of support...if there's an avenue for financial support, Nick, please let readers know how they can help sustain and extend BAWSI's reach.
