To say that seniors are an "underserved population" is wrong and another scam to gain revenue for the El Camino Hospital system. In reality, the Palo Alto Medical Foundation (PAMF) Clinic (formerly Camino Medical Group) provides superb medical care for many of my "Senior:" friends. The PAMF clinic is less than 2 miles from the hopsital.
To say that seniors need "special" services is demeaning and hints that we are less than capable of seeking and finding oprimal care on our own.
The PAMF group not only accepts Medicare without question, it provides all aspects of care both medical and surgical. It likewise has on-sight lab, radiology etc so that there is 'One-stop ' healthcare. They also provide medical visits to some nursing home patietns as part of care provision.
Face it, as a stand alone organization, ECH continues to attempt competing with other larger and comprehensive healthcare systems with minimal data to support their actions. It makes no sense at all for the hospital to continue fragmenting their mission and vision by adding yet another layer of care. It is folly to think otherwise!

The hospital's PR person is on overdrive. They seem to get a lot of coverage in the Voice over the last year or two.
