Local relief efforts for Japan disaster victims

The images of destruction and descriptions of devastation coming from across the Pacific are both horrifying and humbling. The raw human emotion and empathy stirred by the magnitude 9.0 temblor and subsequent tsunami that pummeled northern Japan on March 11, has prompted many locals to ask how they might help.

We all need to come together and give what we can afford. We have many families from Japan who live, work and go to school here. I am going to make a donation to the Red Cross in honor of Japanese families I know at Landels Elementary school. I urge you to give what you can spare. Thanks.
