County rolls out new emergency text alerts

Santa Clara County introduced a new, easy-to-use text message number to help residents receive emergency alerts in the event of a disaster.

So in the subhead and first comment we have "text-massage" and a "sigh-up." And some of us are easily amused

"The feature also benefits residents who have a language barrier."

Typo. Should say "The feature also benefits residents who don't speak English."

The Mexican consul general wants to make sure he gets out the message to the illegals that they won't have to give personal information to the government in order to get the texts. Because that is his #1 priority, protect the illegals.

What a great place we live in.
